Parkmas is back and bigger than ever! Activators will be heading into Iowa’s parks, forests, and wildlife areas, and every QSO counts. We’ve built a custom site where you can upload your logs and watch the leaderboard update throughout the event.
Never activated a park before? This is the perfect time to start. Already addicted to POTA? You already know what to do.
This summer’s event is dedicated to Scott KE0ZBB, who jumped in, caught the POTA bug, and loved every second of it. We’ll be giving a special newcomer award to the new individual who gets the POTA bug this summer!
📡 Summer of Simplex
All summer long we’re celebrating the purest form of radio — simplex. No repeaters, no infrastructure. Just antennas, ingenuity, and the open airwaves.
Throughout the summer we’ll be hosting statewide simplex activity days, coverage-mapping challenges, friendly distance competitions, and sharing tips to improve your simplex reach — whether you’re running a home setup or going portable. It’s a great way to sharpen your skills, test your gear, and meet operators you might not normally hear.
